xplanetFX renders high quality wallpapers of mother earth on your desktop. An extensive GUI (GTK) provides a lot of features and settings. Various templates place the planet inside different scenes and make shure your desktop never gets boring again. With realtime light, shadows and clouds!

traGtor is a graphical user interface for the awesome conversion tool ffmpeg. With multi streams, presets, multi language and a lot of other features traGtor is a handy tool for converting all audio and video formats through ffmpeg. traGtor is based on GTK and Python.

Calf studiogear is an extensive and high quality plugin pack for professional audio production under Linux. It provides a lot of synthesizers, effects and signal processing for the use with LV2 audio production suites (like Ardour) or as stand-alone through JACK.

Calf with all of its new features and processors isn't officially released by now so you have to grab the GIT-repository from sourceforge.net until we are ready for a stable release.

traGtor 0.8.29: fixed input stream detection

* Finally fixed the regular expression for stream detection (thanks to Youichi!)
* Stripped unused double if statement in analyzeInFile()

Hopefully it’s working again… ^^ Youichi did an excellent and essential job when he ran different operating systems like debian, ubuntu, Arch and BSD and installed different FFmpeg versions in them to let a shell script iterate over different movie files to provide a huge collection of FFmpeg log files. This gave me the chance to prove the stream detection routine against which made a lot of problems lately. Now every version should detect every audio and video stream again – sorry that it took that long to get the expected behavior of traGtor back again…

It was a feature request by Youichi, hope it works for you. If it breaks things in other use cases (like having presets with composed video layers as animated logos or stuff flike that) please tell me, it has to be an optional feature then.

traGtor 0.8.22: Useroptionen in Befehlszeile

Brotkohl hat festgestellt, dass die Benutzeroptionen nicht funktionieren, wenn sie sich auf Audio/Videocodecs beziehen, da sie in der Befehlszeile vor diesen Optionen eingefügt wurden. Ist gefixt und sollte jetzt hoffentlich so klappen.

traGtor 0.8.19: Bugfixes und Drag’n’Drop

Yours truly hat vom Eiersalat genascht und anschließend ein paar Bugs und Verbesserungswünsche rüber gereicht – vielen Dank, Mann!

  • Bitrate und Framerate haben sich bei Tastatureingabe merkwürdig verhalten
  • Deinterlace-Schalter ohne jegliche Funktion
  • Drag’n’Drop von Dateien auch in die Dateiliste möglich

Und mir sind noch ein paar Kleinigkeiten aufgefallen:

  • Gab unbedeutende Warnungen beim Rechtsklickmenü in der Dateiliste
  • Maximal mögliche Größe war zu sehr beschränkt
  • Steigrate des Ratio-Spinbuttons zu niedrig

Ich glaube, das war’s soweit.

Und ich habe mal das DEB von alien in ein RPM bauen lassen – über Erfahrungswerte bin ich natürlich dankbar!
