I did some changes to Wifi-Radar lately so it better fits my needs:
* Bugfix: crash when connection in awkward state
* Bugfix: mouse wheel not working (use GtkScrolledWindow instead of VScrollBar)
* Main window is GtkWindow instead of GtkDialog now
* Ctrl+c handler for main window
* ESSID in bold markup for better visualization
* New column in list: quality - shows a progress bar, percentual values and dBm
* New icon
* New radar display:
* Radial visualization of access points grouped by channels
* Signal strength visualized via distance from center
* Legend explaining relationship of colours and channels
* Legend shows occupation of channels as tiny bars
* Highlight follows selection in TreeView
It’s beyond debate that the radar display can be improved much more but perhaps it’s at least a start.
I mailed this stuff to Sean Robinson, the actual maintainer of the project, let’s see what happens.
The changed source of the version 2.0.s08+dfsg-1.1 from Debian repositories can be downloaded here (put into /usr/sbin/) and the new icons (from /usr/share/pixmaps/) can be downloaded here. Install package first and copy things over afterwards. Alernatively here is the full package.

- ...state name and version of your operating system / desktop environment
- ...state the version of the program you're using
- ...be detailed in what is happening and what you expected to happen
- ...try to provide some deeper information (like xplanetFX logs or the output of the program when started in a terminal window)
- ...speak to me as a human being, don't think I'm a bot.

- ...nenne die Version des von Dir benutzten Programms
- ...beschreibe möglichst genau, was passiert und was Du erwartest, was passieren sollte
- ...stelle möglichst tiefergehende Informationen zur Verfügung (xplanetFX Logs oder die Ausgabe des Programms im Terminalfenster)
- ...sprich mit mir, wie mit einem Menschen, ich bin kein Automat.
